1. vectorcam Installation
How do I install vectorcam?
Before you start the vectorcam-installation, please make sure that you have the administrator privileges on your computer. If you are not sure, please contact your system administrator before.
The installation is started by:
- a double click (in Windows Explorer) on the installation file "vectorger.exe"
- by clicking on the menu item "Install vector ..." in the Autostart menu of vectorcam CD.
I get the message: "DLL has wrong version"
To eliminate this message, please proceed as follows
1. Start the Windows File Explorer.
2. Select the folder where you have installed vectorcam. Usually this folder is "c: \ Program Files \ vectorcadcam".
3. Please click the file "vectornc.exe" with the right mouse button and select "Run as Administrator"to select the option.
4. Close the application immediately.
Now You should not see the message any more. Otherwise, please contact our support:

Must the previous version be uninstalled first when implementing an update?
Yes, before you install the update from vectorcam, you should uninstall the previous version first.
Before uninstalling, we recommend to make a data backup. The following data should always be saved:
- the file "vector.ini", here you will find your personal settings.
- Post Processor Files (*.cfg)
- Tool libraries (*.ttd)
- Complex Drilling cycles (*.cdo)
- Reference files (*.cct)
- User defined dialog boxes (*.msk)
- User defined macros, cycles, threading tables, drilling tables etc. (*.csv im Profile-Ordner)
- Material tables for feed and speed calculation (*.csv im Technology-Ordner)
- Variable tables (*.sym)
How do I install a post processor?
Post processor - files must be saved in the vectorcam - subfolder "cfg ".Postprozessor - The files located in this folder are automatically displayed in the selection window at the "NC Open" command from vectorcam.
Post processor - files are identified by the file extension ".cfg".
vectorcam does not start
If vectorcam does not start after successful installation, please check the following points:
1.: Is the system date of your computer on today's date?
2.: Is the dongle plugged in correctly?
3.: Are your license information correctly entered in the file "license.ini"?
This file is located in the folder where you have installed vectorcam.

What are the minimum requirements my hardware must fulfill?

You need at least:
• Windows® XP / Vista / 7® • Pentium / AMD Prozessor • 1 GB RAM • 500 MB available hard-disk space • OpenGL capable graphics-card • DVD/CD-drive • 3-button-mouse with wheel |

2. Personal settings
Can I save my personal settings?
All settings including the standard values that are displayed in the dialog boxes can be stored individually.
To save your personal data, please proceed as follows:
- Open the dialog box in which you want to change a value. Enter the requested values in the dialogue box. Confirm your data with the "OK"-button.
- Save the new data by using in the menu "Special, settings, presettings" the menu-item "save private" and confirm with the "OK"-button. Now your data are saved.
3. vectorcam Postprocessor
Can I to adjust the post processor to my own CNC machine?
Yes, post-processors can be individually created and / or adjusted by the user!
Please read carefully the instructions before creating the post precessor. Please take a look at one of the included sample post-processors, before making your own changes.
In addition, we recommend to take part at one day training "Individual post processor adjustments"!
4. transferring NC programs to the machine
Standard folder and NC-file identification for storing finished NC programs
For each NC-machine, a separate folder and a NC file identification can be established. The setting is made in the post-processor (vectorNC) in the menu - "Option-File ID Import / Export ".

The folder and the file ID can be for exporting and importing specified separately. More information can be found in the online help.
