Whether you want to create a prototype of a new component or start small series production, our team will help you through to the finished result.

As someone who is always on the lookout for improvements in manufacturing, my encounter with vectorcam was a real stroke of luck. It all started casually at a barbecue party where I struck up a conversation with a vectorcam employee. I quickly realized that I needed a new solution for the increasing complexity of my products and to increase the efficiency of my processes.

Up to that point, I had programmed everything on the machine. However, manual programming on the machine had reached its limits. With vectorcam, new doors opened: customers supplied me with 3D model data instead of drawings and I was able to move into new industries. The speed of the programming, the diverse milling strategies and the avoidance of collisions were a real surprise. Despite my initial inexperience in CAM programming, I was able to learn quickly and successfully implement the first programs.

All eight CNC machines in my company, including two 3+2 axis milling machines and two lathes, are now running vectorcam. A lot has changed since the introduction in October 2019. Previously, long downtimes due to manual programming were the order of the day. Now, production is not only faster, but also less error-prone.

The decision to use vectorcam was an easy one. The ease of use, the low training requirements, the proximity to the site and the personal contact with the employees were decisive factors. The implementation went smoothly: from the order to the setup and training to the support provided by the support team.

3D milling is the most important module for me. I create about five NC programs a day, which shows how integral vectorcam has become to my business.

Some of my customers come from the gear manufacturing industry. Here it is common for gears that are used in existing systems to have to be replaced. Often there are no longer any drawings of the gears. Vectorcam was also able to support me here by developing a module specially built into the software for me. This module allows me to design and then manufacture gears using just a few parameters.

The software has exceeded my expectations: Set-up times have dropped significantly and I can even run some machines unmanned. In the future, I plan to add the 5-axis simultaneous module and purchase another workstation.

All in all, vectorcam has not only revolutionized my production processes, but also opened up new business opportunities. I am excited to see what the future holds and look forward to continuing to be at the forefront of technology with vectorcam.
