Steba Electrical Appliances was founded in 1919 in the center of Bamberg.

“Steba - Quality. Reliability. Competence.” The third-generation family business remains true to this statement. Starting with food steamers for agriculture, as well as irons, toasters and kettles for private households in the 1920s to 1950s, Steba today stands for a broad and modern range with its strategic product categories of sous-vide cookers, electric BBQs, deep fryers, small ovens and much more. 

Then as now, some items are produced by long-standing and quality-conscious employees in our factory in Strullendorf near Bamberg and exported to more than 45 countries worldwide. Steba has developed into a leading company for electric grills, sous-vide cookers and raclettes and today stands for high quality standards and service thanks to its “Made in Germany” production. This is how Steba became what it is today in over 100 years.

Steba Electrical Appliances GmbH & Co. KG decided to introduce vectorcam after researching the internet and visiting a trade fair in 2016. The aim was to bring production up to date and increase efficiency. Before the introduction of vectorcam, the manual creation and adaptation of the programs took a lot of time.

The selection criteria focused on usability, fast implementation, a wide range of functions and good support. The ease of use of vectorcam compared to the software previously in use was immediately convincing. 
The introduction of vectorcam went smoothly. Thanks to comprehensive training and technical support in the early days, vectorcam was quickly implemented in our company.

Today, five CNC machines are programmed with vectorcam. Around 50 to 100 NC programs are created each month. With vectorcam, we can now manufacture components with just one clamping operation. Previously, this required several individual machining operations. This and many other advantages have led to a considerable reduction in production time and greater precision.

The software has met and exceeded our expectations. In the future, we plan to set up additional modules and workstations, with the 3D milling module being the most important. 

The service provided by vectorcam is rated as excellent, especially due to the customer-oriented applications and dialogs as well as the fast adaptation of post-processors without waiting times. Overall, vectorcam has significantly improved the production processes at Steba and raised the work to a high technological level.
