A new version has been available for download in the customer area for our maintenance customers since the beginning of the year. Download version 17.21.057 right away and benefit from the new functions!
In our latest vectorcam version (17.21.057) from January 4th, 2021, pocket milling in the module 2D / 2.5D milling has been revised. The new features include:
All possibilities are summarized in one function. The various strategies are selected directly in the dialogue. A 2D contour is still required or selected for calculating the tool paths. This also includes island contours. In the case of open pockets, the elements (line, spline curves and / or circles) that determine the open side are simply drawn with a long-dashed line type. vectorcam then automatically moves from the outside into the pockets. The residual material processing is also integrated into the function.
